By using Atitlán Conecta you accept these terms. They are written in plain language; if anything is unclear, write to us at our contact form.
The service
Atitlán Conecta is a free directory of businesses, services, events and places in the 14 towns of Lake Atitlán. Being listed in the directory is free, always.
Directory information
Each listing shows its status: Verified, Pending verification or Incomplete information. When a piece of data is missing we say «Not available»; we don't make up information.
Even so, hours, prices and phone numbers change. Confirm directly with the business before you travel. In an emergency, call the relevant institution.
Accounts and business owners
To claim a listing, we verify that you are the owner or manager. You are responsible for making sure the data you publish is true. Impersonating another person or business is prohibited.
Changes to the name, phone, address or category are reviewed before they are published.
Reviews
Reviews share real experiences. You can leave one per business every 6 months, and owners can't review their own business.
Paid reviews or reviews in exchange for benefits, insults, other people's personal data, discriminatory content and advertising are not allowed.
Anyone can report a review; the moderation team decides whether it stays up or is hidden. A membership does not buy, move or remove reviews.
The «Verified visit» badge means the person scanned the venue's QR code.
What you submit
By submitting data, photos or events, you authorize us to review them, edit them for clarity and publish them in the directory. You remain the owner of your content.
We may decline to publish, or remove, content or establishments that don't fit the directory's editorial line, these terms or the law.
Featured spots and memberships
Sponsored spots are always labeled «Featured». Itineraries show all options and are not ranked by payment.
Paid memberships will be available soon. Their conditions will be published before any charges are activated.
Photos
We use photos with free licenses credited to their author, our own photos, or photos with written permission. If a photo is yours and you want us to remove it, write to us.
Liability
Atitlán Conecta connects visitors and businesses, but does not sell or provide the listed services. Each business is responsible for what it offers.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Guatemala.
